The match marks the First Class debut of left-arm pacer Arjun Tendulkar, son of the legend Sachin. The left-arm pacer, earlier this year, moved to Goa after not getting enough chances to play for Mumbai. He has only played seven List A matches and nine T20s for Mumbai and Goa.

The Goa team had a decent start with the opening pair putting up 32 runs on the board before Sumiran Amonkar fell for nine to speedster Kamlesh Nagarkot. Amogh Desai was the next to fall after scoring 27, the total 59.

Then followed the most fruitful partnership for Goa.  Suyash Prabhudessai and Snehal Kauthankar put on 105 for the third wicket taking the score to one 164 before the latter  fell to Aniket Choudhary for a well compiled 59.  Siddesh Lad then kept Snehal company, scoring 17 before falling to left-arm spinner M Suthar. Wicketkeeper KD Eknath puttered around for 3 before falling to AV Chaudhary to bring in Tendulkar.

Suyash looked in control during his innings as he sights a century. Local fans will hope that the young Tendulkar shows the the gumption of his famous father on the morrow. Left-arm medium pacer AV Chaudhury was the most successful bowler for Rajasthan with two wickets.
