Maina-Curtorim Police have arrested three people after an unidentified man, suspected of two-wheeler theft, allegedly died following a mob assault in Nuvem on August 27.
According to police, the man was allegedly attacked by an unlawful assembly of more than 50 people. He was later taken to the South Goa District Hospital in Margao, where doctors declared him brought dead.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been established. Police have secured the allegedly stolen two-wheeler and are collecting evidence to determine what led to the assault and the man’s subsequent death.
Officials are also attempting to identify and apprehend other individuals who may have been involved in the incident. An FIR is being registered as police gather further information and record details related to the case.
The investigation is ongoing, and police have not yet disclosed the identities of those arrested.
