The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) reportedly threatened to keep its team off the field at Lord’s if Sky Sports aired an interview with the sons of former Pakistan captain and Prime Minister Imran Khan during the lunch break of the second Test against England.
The 18-minute interview, conducted by former England captain and Sky Sports broadcaster Michael Atherton, featured Imran Khan’s sons, Sulaiman and Kasim Khan, discussing their father’s health and conditions in prison.

According to reports, the PCB contacted Sky Sports before the lunch break and objected to the broadcast, reportedly warning that Pakistan’s players could refuse to return to the field for the afternoon session if the interview was aired.
Sky Sports initially delayed the segment but eventually broadcast the interview during the lunch interval. Pakistan subsequently returned to the field for the second session as scheduled.
The PCB later lodged a formal complaint with Sky Sports over the broadcast. The board’s objection was reportedly linked to the political nature of the interview, which focused on concerns surrounding Imran Khan’s treatment and health while in prison.
