Fr Agnel YC pip Varca SC, enter quarters

SAO JOSE DE AREAL: Fr Agnel YC, Paroda beat Varca SC 3-2 to enter the quarter-final of the 35th St Jose de Areal Panchyat Cup football tournament, organised by St Jose de Areal, at Padribhat ground, on Friday.

Cajetan Fernandes opened the scoring for Fr Agnel in the 7th minute.

Velroy Rodrigues levelled terms in the 20th minute, while Elvis Fernandes made it 2-1 for Varca SC in the 25th minute.

Fr Agnel regrouped and scored two quick goals through Manish Oliveira in the 43rd and 45th minutes to make it 3-2.
