PANJIM: Goa boys and girls U-19 teams registered convincing wins in their respective encounters in the 62nd National School Games Futsal Championship, held in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, on Wednesday.
The Goa U-19 boys defeated Andra Pradesh 20-0. Savelon Cardozo scored five while Stendly Fernandes scored 4. Jonathan Veiga, Kunal Salgaocar and Bharat Gaonkar scored a hat-trick each. Cyrus Noronha and Darren Estibeoro scored a goal each for Goa to take their tally to 20-0.
The U-19 Goan girls defeated Dadra 12-0. Somaaya Mukunda was the star player for Goa girls as she scored seven goals in the one sied affair. Sushmita Jadhav and Anline Fernandes scored a brace each. Flavina Rodrigues was the other goal scorer.
