Gold Silver Trophy soccer
MARGAO (HC) — Rossman Cruz Sports Club, Nagoa will cross swords with Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda in the inaugural match of 29th Gold Silver Rolling Trophy inter-village football tournament organised by Navelim Sporting Club on September 5 at Rosary ground, Navelim at 4.30 p.m.
Sporting Club of Davorlim, Sarzora Sports Club, St Anthony’s Sporting Club, Colva; United Club of Nerul, Parish Youth, Nuvem, Sao Jose de Areal Sports Club, Navelim Sporting Club, St Rock’s Youth Club, Majorda; Chandor Club, Young Strikers, Benaulim, Dramapur Sports Club, Wilred Leisure Sports Club, Curtorim and Candolim Sports Club are the other teams vying for the title.
The winners and runners-up will take home Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively. Former Dempo goalkeeper Anthony Cardozo will be the chief guest.
St Joseph festival soccer
MARGAO (HC) — Ambelim Sports Club will meet Sporting Club of Davorlim at the inaugural match of the 34th St Joseph Festival inter-village football tournament organised by Dramapur Sports Club on September 5 at Dramapur ground at 4.30 p.m.
The other participating teams are: Verna Sports Club, St Jose de Areal Sports Club, Raia Sporting Club, Betalbatim Sporting Club, Curtorim Gymkhana, Varca Sports Club, Navelim Sporting Club, Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, St Anthony’s Sports Club, Assolda Parish Youth, Nuvem, Cuncolim Union, United Club of Benaulim, CRC, Chinchinim and hosts Dramapur SC.

5-a-side football at Ponda
PANJIM (HSD) – The Mount Carmel Chapel Youth, Ponda will organise their 1st 5-a-side football tournament on September 5 and 12 at Forest ground, Shantinagar-Ponda. The winners and runners-up will be awarded Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 3,000 respectively. Other individual prizes will also be awarded. Spot entries will be accepted from 10 a.m.
Soccer at Zorivado
PANJIM (HSD) – The Young Boys of Zorivado will organise their sixth All-Goa 11-a-side football tournament from September 12 at Rosary ground, Zorivado, Davorlim. Football at Valpoi

Churchill U-18 selection trials
MARGAO (HC) — Churchill Brothers will conduct selection trials for their U-18 football team on September 8 at St John Baptist ground, Dando, Benaulim at 3 p.m. Only those born on or before 1.1.1993 may report at the venue with birth certificate and full playing kit.
