PANJIM: Jayesh Naik, joint secretary of Indian Weightlifting Federation, National Category 1 Referee and vice president of Goa Olympic Association, and Muktar Amlani, general secretary of Boxing Association of Goa, has been appointed as the Deputy Chef De Mission for the 37th National Games Goa 2023 by the Goa Olympic Association.
Meanwhile, General Secretary of Amateur Archery Association Goa Chetan Kavlekar has been appointed as the competition manager of the Archery Championship for the 37th National Games scheduled from October 29 to November 7 by Archery Association of India.

Kavlekar, a State awardee in sports has earlier worked as technical official for Gujarat and Kerala National Games, Commonwealth Games at Delhi and also worked as the manager for Assam and Jharkhand National Games.
He is presently the joint secretary of Goa Olympic Association, vice president of Archery Association of India, chairman of Coaches Committee of Archery Association of India and the member of Selection Committee, Archery Association of India, and also the president of Higher Secondary School Physical Education Teachers Association (PETA).
