Kastuv, Ramnathan, Bharath in joint lead

SANGUEM: Kastuv Kundu (West Bengal), Bharath Kumar Reddy (Telangana) and IM Ramnathan Balasubramaniam were leading with 5 points on day 3 of the 3rd Unique All India Open Fide Rating Chess Tournament held at Quepem.
The 5th round dint produce many surprises .The biggest one was IM.Ramnathan Balasubramaniam (2176) beating S. Prasanna (2267) also of Tamil Nadu on the top board. On the second board Kaustuv Kundu (2263) of West Bengal defeated A. Balkishan (2209) of Karnataka & FM. Audi Ameya (2327) from GOA was upset by Bharat Kumar Reddy Poluri(2259).
Among the Goan players Ritviz Parab, Niraj Saripalli, Devesh Anand Naik, Reuben Colaco & Mandar Lad are still in race with 4 points from 5 rounds.
The tournament is organized by Unique Chess academy & Quepem Taluka Chess association under the auspices Goa Chess association and All India Chess Federation.
