Launching Boys win Agalli trophy

Launching Boys, Agalli beat Al Hilal Boys, Agalli 1-0 via the tie-breaker to clinch the inter-Agalli 4-a-side football tournament organised by St Anthony’s Boys, Agalli in an absorbing final at Agali ground.
Launching Boys put up a better display in the second session with their forwards and midfielders working in tandem.
Midway in the second session, Fredrick Vaz came close to scoring but his try missed the mark narrowly.
The teams were locked goalless at the end of regulation time.
In the tie-breaker, Launching Boys emerged victorious scoring through FredrickVaz.
Launching Boys bagged Rs 4000 while Al Hilal received Rs 3000.
Following prizes were awarded; First scorer of final Fredrick Vaz.
Best defender Joel Barbosa.
Lawrence Pereira of Margao Footballers was the chief guest and gave away the prizes. Daisy Fernandes was the guest of honour.
In all, 16 teams participated.
