CALANGUTE: Little Flower of Jesus High School, Calangute defeated St. Joseph’s Convent High School, Nagoa 3-1 via the tie-breaker after the teams played out an exciting 1-1 draw in the finals of St. Michael’s Golden Jubilee inter-school girls football tournament organised by St. Michael’s Convent High School, Vagator.

Little Flower proved to be better shooters in the penalty shoot-out prevailing over St. Joseph‘s 2-0.

In the boys section, St. Anthony’s High School, Monte de Guirim got the better of Fr. Agnel High School, Pilar by a solitary goal.

 Sr. Alda Rodrigues, superior general, Sr. Libia Fernandes headmistress, Sr. Fausta, manager, Lavino Rebello, GFA vice-president, were among those present. Uma Lingudkar gave away the trophies.

Fausto Lobo was the co-ordinator. Brenda D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks.
