MARGAO: Mandopa Sporting Club got the better of Wilred Leisure Sports Club, Curtorim 7-6 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of the 6th Our Lady of Fatima Cup Football tournament, organized by Dicarpale Sports Club, at Dicarpale ground, on Friday.
In the very first minute, Wilfred Leisure SC scored through Anthony Cardoza off a supply by Agnelo Martins.
However, Mandopa SC equalized in the 32nd minute through Mobin Gomes off an assist from Avlon Gomes.
Crossing over, Wilfred Leisure SC made it 2-1 in the 40th minute through Anthony’s grounder but Mandopa SC restored parity in the 53rd minute through Avlon.
In the tie-breaker, Mandopa SC scored through Mobin Gomes, Clifton Gomes, Jaison Pereira, Aulon Gomes and Ruful Fernandes while Wilred Leisure SC converted through Neble Fernandes, Deslie Fernandes, Agnelo Martins and Anthony Cardoza.
