RAIA: Mount Mary’s High School, Chinchinim, edged past Immaculate Conception High School, Paroda, 5-4 via tie-breaker to move into the next round of 2nd All-Goa Inter-School football tournament organised by St Joseph’s Ex Students Association, Chandor,at Chandor church ground, on Tuesday.
Mount Mary’s HS boys combined well and tested Immaculate Conception HS goalkeeper on many occasions but superlative saves by the keeper Lohite Gaonkar denied the Chinchinim boys from scoring.

It was 0-0 at the end of regulation time. In the resultant tie-breaker, Sean Carvalho, Viditya Kumar, Sladen Rebello, Afraz Ahmed and Tanesh Varale scored for Mount Mary’s HS, while Amray Gracias, Joarjy Fernandes, Austin Carvalho and Royden Noronha netted for Immaculate Conception High School.
For his heroic saves in the regulation time, goalkeeper of Immaculate Conception High School Lohite Gaonkar was declared the man-of-the-match which was handed over by the PTA Chairman of St Joseph Educational Institute, Chandor, Tiburcio Dourado.
