PANJIM: Title aspirants Navelim Sporting overcame Davorlim Sports Club 2-0 to stroll into the finals of V Deluxe Lourdes Festival Cup 2013, organised by United Club of Utorda, at SAG ground, Utorda. There was no score at the breather.
Davorlim managed to hold their own against their more fancied rivals during the first session but a defensive error in the 11th minute of the second half seemed to dishearten them and minutes later they conceded one more leaving them a mountain to climb.
Davorlim stopper while attempting to head out a shot from Navelim striker Evelyn Gomes saw it deflect in beating his keeper.
Evelyn then scored with an emphatic strike to settle the issue in favour of Navelim.
