IOC won the toss and decided to field first and restricted ONGC to 183/8. Thanks to Sandeep Sharma’s 24, Mayank Tehlan’s 28, Milind Kumar’s 32 and Praveen Kumar’s 27. Rohan Rate, Amit Danvi, and Khizar Dafedar took two wickets each whereas Ali Abbas took one wicket for IOC.
Chasing the target, IOC got off to a good start and kept the hope alive till the 17th over but failed to convert it into win. Ravikank Shukla scored 38 of 32 balls, Wasim Jaffer scored 41 of 16 balls including three boundaries and four sixes. Praveen Kumar, Munaf Patel and Suhail Sharma claimed two wickets each. Ishant Sharma and Amit Mishra got one wicket each to guide their teams to victory. Suhail Sharma was declared as the Man-of-the- tournament.
The chief guest was Pradeep Singh, GM HR- Head Sports- ONGC and gave the prizes in the presence of GCA President, Chetan Desai and other dignitaries.
