RAIA: Paldem Sports Club, Curtorim, blanked Madel Sports Club 2-0 to enter the quarter-finals of 9-a-side football tournament organised by Sporting Club, Virabhat, at St Alex Church ground, Curtorim, on Thursday.
The match started with the combination of rain and wind and making weather cool and playing condition good for the players. Paldem SC’s combination of Elton, Ansley and Seby worked well. Elton scored the first goal for Paldem SC with a neat placement. Madel SC Samuel’s header hit the crossbar and went away. At half time, Paldem SC were leading 1-0.

Changing over, Madel SC regroup and attack the Paldem SC defence with combination of Velenster and Regan but failed to score as the rival defence of Diago and Showin stood like solid rock.
