VERNA: Poriebhat Boys defeated St Rock, Senaulim 5-2 to move into the semi-finals of the Verna inter-ward tournament organized by Verna Veterans at Verna panchayat ground, on Wednesday.
Poriebhat Boys scored through Kevin Braganza in the 16th minute, while Santan Rego made it 2-0 in the 35th minute.
Joel D’Mello further increased the lead in the 37th minute as Christo Fernandes made it 4-0 in the 40th minute while Christo D’Mello scored the fifth in the 45th minute.
Regan Fernandes and Edmund Pereira scored a goal each in the 23rd and 48th minutes respectively to reduce the margin for St Rock Senaulim.
At the final regualtion time the score was 5-2.
