MARGAO: Nerul Sports Club outplayed Dicarpale SC 4-0 to move into the semi-finals of the Mandopa Football Cup, at Mandopa ground, on Tuesday. In the first half, Nerul SC were leading by two goals.
Nerul SC took the lead in the first half through Prasad Dabolkar in the 10th minute with a deft placement.
Soon, Nerul SC made it 2-0 in the 13th minute as Royston Pereira set up Prasad in a perfect position for his brace.
In the second session, hardworking Royston made it 3-0 in the 46th minute as the medio heading in off a cross by Paul Cardozo.
There was no stopping for Nerul SC as a rival defender brought down Royston in the danger zone. Royston converted a penalty in the 47th minute.
At the other end, Sidney Furtado of Dicarpale SC missed two goal scoring opportunities in the 48th and 50th minutes.
