MAPUSA: FC Siolim had an easy outing as they drubbed Penha de France by 4-1 margin to secure the third place in the Goa Football Association Division III League Bardez Zone match played at Duler Stadium, Mapusa, on Tuesday.
The winners went into the breather leading by 3-1 margin. Upcoming youngster Preston Dias not only opened FC Siolim’s account in the very 5th minute of play with a clinical finish from inside the 18-yard box but netted his brace in the 55th minute on crossing ends.
Sadanand Dabholkar netted FC Siolim’s second goal in the 8th minute.
Penha de France tried to get back into the match through Pirsab Nada’s goal 2-1. However, a self-goal by Joshua Fernandes saw Penha de France go down by 3-1 margin into the breather. Preston netted FC Siolim’s fourth goal 4-1.
