RAIA: Referee Mervyn Tellis, from Aquem-Margao, passed away on Monday. He was born on March 10, 1959. His funeral will take place at St Sebastian cemetery, Aquem, on September 12, at 3.30 pm. Anthony Pango, GFA Senior Vice President condoled the death of Mervyn. He was instrumental in officiating football match and was famous mostly at Rajendra Prasad Stadium.
Aluzio Fernandes from Navelim, a football lover said he brought discipline on the ground.
