Rupchandra Humrasker stormed into the finals of both Veterans 40 plus and 45 plus categories at All Goa Major Ranking Badminton Tournament organised by Shuttler’s Club at Indoor stadium, Campal, here on Wednesday.
In the 40 plus semis, Rupchandra beat Noel Noronha 21-15, 21-12. He will clash with Pradosh Silimkhan who beat Oscar Silveira 21-19, 21-10.
In the 45 plus category, Rupchandra Humrasker knocked out the top seed Cancio Mascarenas 21-15, 21-12. In the finals, he will meet Tanaji Sawant who beat Hanumant Naik 21-11, 21-17.

Men doubles quarter-finals: Floyd Araujo and Navneet Nasnodkar beat Kalidas Govekar and Surya Chari 21-12, 21-14; Govind Navelkar and Pankaj Naik beat Wilfred Jacques and Kunal Sanvordekar 21-15, 21-17; Chinmay Fallary and Mohammed beat Sunny Sawant and Aniket Shenai 21-18, 21-16; Parag Chauhan and Darwin Barretto beat Gitesh Dangui and Samir Sangodkar 21-11, 21-16.
Veterans 45 + doubles semi-finals: P.K.Gupta and Tanaji Sawant beat Rupchandra Humrasker and Cancio Mascarenas 17-21, 24-22, 21-19; R Borkar and Santosh Prabhudesai beat Sudin Kuvelkar and V.G. Prabhu 21-18, 21-14.
The finals matches will be held on Thursday from 6.p.m.
