PANJIM: SAI Veterans downed Tiswadi Veterans 3-1 via the tie-breaker in the SAI Super Cup, at Our Lady of Merces church ground, on Sunday.
SAI Veterans dominated the game and attacked continuously but couldn’t find the net despite many attempts with Anand being good under the bar.
Venancio Gonsalves almost headed in the winner but it was well saved by Anand. At end of regulation time the teams were locked 0-0.
In the tie-breaker, Benedict, Victor and Richard were on the sheet for SAI Veterans while Naresh was the only player on target for Tiswadi Veterans.
