MAPUSA: Football Club of Sanquelim were content with a 1-1 draw with St Dominic Savio Sports Club, Pomburpa as they booked their play-offs berth in the Bardez Zone GFA’s 3rd Division League, at Aldona ground, here, Monday.
After a barren first half, Pomburpa broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute when Vishant provided Sushant Gaonkar a well-measured cross and the latter finished neatly.
After a series of well-orchestrated raids, Sanquelim equalized in the 76th minute through Karan Hoble’s solo effort.
Guirim drub Cunchelim
At Moira ground, Guirim Youth and Cultural Club drubbed Cunchelim Sports Club 7-2.
Cunchelim stunned their opponents in the eighth minute through Ashley D’Souza but Guirim regrouped from there on.
Viraj scored four times while Tanay Rane, Nathan and Anthony D’Souza adding their names to the score sheet. Kintesh Parsekar scored the second goal for Cunchelim.
Nerul SC downed Pilerne SC 3-1.
