Sao Minguel move into last eight

Sao Minguel, Taleigao prevailed over Nerul Sports Club by a solitary goal to move into the quarter-finals of Rama Naguesh Shirodker memorial soccer organised by Chapora Yuvak Sangh, at Chapora ground on Saturday.
Sao Minguel took the lead in the 57th minute through Estrocio, after the Nerul goalkeeper Xavier failed to collect a shot from Valencio.
Nerul tried hard to come on level terms with Abhijit and Sonu working overtime but could not beat rival goalkeeper Jonathan.
Sao Minguel too had their share of missed chances with Valencio, Naguesh and Cedric Peixeto unable to find the mark.
