SIRLIM: Sporting Club of Davorlim trounced Sao Jose de Areal 3-1 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of the 22nd Our Lady of Merces 8-a-side football tournament organised by Sirlim Sports Club, at Our Lady of Hope church ground, Chinchinim, on Tuesday.
The match ended in a goalless draw.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Sporting Club of Davorlim netted through Robinson Colaco, Stanley Miranda and Venson Figuereido while only Fredric Endro scored for Sao Jose de Areal.
SC Davorlim will now meet the winner of Cuncolim Union and Goan Warriors FC, Tivim in the quarter-finals on August 7.
