A meeting of the security committee for the India-Australia ODI match on October 24 at Fatorda was held wherein the officials of GCA, Australia and Goa Police interacted.
The security members from Cricket Australia included Goeff Allardice, manager Australia Cricket, Frank Dimansi, security manager, Cricket Australia, Stephen Bernard, manager, Australia team, Peter Roach, manager Australia Cricket.
The police officials present were V.V. Choudhary, Sr. SP, Alan D’Sa, SP, Umesh Gaonkar, Dy. SP.
The GCA members present were Prasad V. Phaterpekar, secretary, Vinod Phadke,  treasurer, Chetan Dessai, vice-president, Amaresh Naik, jt. Secretary.
The officials inspected the stadium as well as Hotel Taj where a detailed presentation about the security arrangements was made.
Phaterpekar stated that the Cricket Australia authorities were satisfied with the security arrangements and that they had complimented the GCA for the professional presentation.
They did not observe any deficiency in the security aspect and they were satisfied with the set up, according to Phaterpekar.
