PANJIM: Sesa Football Academy scored a narrow 1-0 win over Goan Football Club, in the Goa Football Association’s U-16 League match played at Sanquelim ground, on Sunday.
The match witnessed a battle in midfield throughout with hardly any breakthrough on the cards
The first half ended in with no goal on the sheet.
Post resumption, Goan Football Club’s Leewan Casthana and Rayan Menezes were cautioned in the 43rd and 61st minutes respectively.
It was in the injury time that Relson Castellino scored the winner to take home three points for Sesa Football Academy.
In another match at Nagoa ground, AA de Majorda thrashed Pax of Nagoa 7-2. Lawrence Fernandes netted a hat-trick while Herwitt Felizardo, Brian Fernandes, Vazlarn Nagueshkar and Derenon scored a goal each for the winners while Switon Desa and Pail Braganza scored for the Nagoa side.
