MAPUSA: Siolim-Sodiem Sports and Cultural Club registered a solitary goal victory over Penha de Franca Sports Club to book their berth in the finals of 8th Reira Cup Soccer tournament organized by Saligao Sporting Club at Saligao ground, Wednesday. There was no score at half time.
After a barren first half, Siolim-Sodiem broke the deadlock immediately after resumption through a clinical strike by striker Ryan. Then onwards, Penha de Franca went all-out to make their way back into the match. In the dying minutes Melwyn had a glorious opportunity to equalize but instead, ballooned over in a one-to-one situation.
