CUNCOLIM: Snow’s Football Academy, Raia shot-out host Cuncolim Union 6-5 (1-1) via the tie-breaker to enter in the semi-finals South Goa Yarri Cup inter-village football tournament, at Cuncolim School ground, on Saturday.
Both the teams were tied at 1-1 at the normal time. It was Josico Fernandes put Snow’s Football Academy ahead in the 15th minute of the match off a pass received from Socky Cardozo.
Cuncolim Union regrouped and equalised in the second session through Trejoy Dias who capitalised on a pass received from Clifton Fernandes.
In the ensuing tie–breaker, Oilex Oliveira, Socky Carodozo, Welington Fernandes, Allwyn Dias and Jason Gauncar scored for Snow’s FA while Erin D’Souza, Melwyn Fernandes, Astrocio Pinto and Raghuvir Gaonkar were on target for Cuncolim Union.
