MAPUSA: St. Anthony’s High School, Duler registered a comfortable 2-0 win over St. Clara High School, Assonora in the U-14 Bardez taluka Subroto Mukherjee football tournament organised by DSYA, held at GFA Duler Stadium, here on Tuesday.
S Irfan and S Saish did the scoring acts for the winners.
In the next match, Holy Cross High School, Bastora overcame the stiff challenge given by the boys of Chubby Cheeks High School Porvorim as they registered a 7-6 win via tie-breaker.
Both the teams were leveled at 2-2 goals at the end of regulation time.
Dronn Shirodkar, Ridham Rane scored for the Porvorim school while Myron Bocarro and Walden Menezes scored for the Bastora side.
In a tie-breaker Ethan P, Francisco L, Chait N and Bhuvan K converted for the Porvorim school while Ganesh H, Injamamul K, Shoham S, Deep K and Walden M were on target for the Bastora school.
In the last match of the day, SFX High School, Siolim defeated St. Ann’s High School, Thivim 2-0. Atharv S and Yuvraj C scored for the Siolim school.
