Majorda scored through Ismail Pathan and Shell Rodrigues. The match was dominated by Majorda while Loutolim came back strongly in the second half.
Loutolim nearly scored from the flanks when Jillian from top of the box missed the crossbar by an inch.
At other end, Valencio’s shot from top of the box was punched out by the Majorda keeper. Hanson of Loutolim from top of the box just missed the target.
Bouventure from the flank gave a diagonal pass to Ismail who tapped into the goal to make it 1-0 for Majorda. Loutolim could have equalized through Zico but his shot kissed the goalpost and went out of play.
Majorda could have increased the lead when Remedious sent in a through pass to Ismail, who however placed the ball over the advancing keeper but it missed the goal.
Majorda increased the lead when the ball landed into the goal area and the keeper miss handled the ball and Shell scored the goal to make it 2-0.
Loutolim could have reduced the margin but Frazer’s powerful shot was fisted away by the rival keeper and on rebound Sandip ballooned over from close range.
Now Majorda will meet Friends XI, Vaddem in the quarter-finals on July 16. The man-of-the-match was awarded to Remedious Barreto of St Rock.
