St Xavier High School, Moira crushed Shanta Vidalaya High School, Siolim 6-1 after leading by a goal at half time.
The Moira school dominated the entire match as Sanjeev Sawant opened the floodgates in the early stages with a power-packed strike that left the rival goalkeeper stunned.
The Siolim school were trying their best to regroup and equalize but they failed to create any promising moves in the rival territory.
Changing over, St Xavier looked more aggressive and scored another five goals, including a delightful hat-trick by Rupesh Patil. Shivnath Dangi and Sydney D’Mello also got their names on the score sheet with a goal each.
Govind Harmalkar reduced the margin for Shanta Vidalaya.
In the morning match, Holy Cross High school, Siolim edged past St Theresa High School 4-3 via the tie-breaker after the teams were locked goalless at full time.
Aneesh Golpekar, Rajat Sawal, Mayuresh Naik and Anselm D’Souza kept their cool and scored from the spot-kick for Holy Cross Siolim while Jerry Vaz, Santan Rodrigues and Orlando D’Souza converted for St Theresa.
Later, Holy Cross trounced Pragati HS, Verem 3-0. All the goals came in the first session with a brace from Sankalap Kerkar and a goal by Vishvek Chari.
