The course is being organised for the very first time in India by the All Indian Football Federation (AIFF) under the watchful eyes of FIFA instructor Stoss from Switzerland.
Speaking to Herald Stoss said that he is happy to be in Goa to hold the course for goalkeeping coaches.
When asked to elaborate more on the course Stephen disclosed that, “It is to take and give ideas to participants of his coaching and share experience. It is like the school to goalkeeping coaches,”
“We can talk and share our expertise and Stephen gives them ideas, new techniques, theory about what is important in goalkeeping.” Stoss added.
Football is a team game and good quality custodians are equally important just like the strikers to win matches.
“There is ample scope but import thing is basic training, hard work, good movements, sharpness of sight and concentration on the ball,” Stoss explained.
With his expertise, Stoss has trained World class goalkeepers including Pascal Zuberbuneer from Switzerland who played for his country in the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
The Scot urged the youth in the State to try their hand at football and train hard to see the results.
