GFA U-14: Glevito Miranda scored a second half brace as Sporting Clube de Goa Juniors drubbed Dunes Sports Club 4-0 in GFA’s Under-14 North Zone semi-final play-off at Dr Remigio Pinto ground, Taleigao, Monday. The score was 1-0 at the interval.
Aldred D’Souza opened the scoring for Sporting Goa Juniors after just 13 minutes with a deft placement.
Crossing over Glevito doubled the lead after going on a solo run, with the move starting on the flank. Three minutes later, Aaryan Gonsalves made up for an earlier penalty miss, to slot in a cross from Glevito.
In the closing stages, Glevito booked the Flaming Oranje Juniors’ place in the final with an absolute belter from the edge of the box which caught the rival goalkeeper off guard.
Meanwhile, Goa United hammered Fr Agnel 4-0 at Poriat ground.
