MAPUSA: United Club of Nerul entered the semi-finals of the Shanti Morada Soccer Cup 2-1 win over Xetrapal Sports Club, organised by Adarsh YS Saligao, played at Saligao ground, on Tuesday.
It was Xetrapal who broke the deadlock in the 15th minute of play through the boots of Vasudev.
However their joy was short lived as five minutes later Nerul came with the equaliser through Stanley who scored through a penalty kick, 1-1.
Changing ends, Xetrapal held the upper hand but failed to convert from the chances that they created.
In the closing stages of the match Nerul came with the match winning goal through Anson who scored off a header, 2-1.
