The teams started on a good note but it was Panchwadi United who had the first go and scored early on as Paxton Gomes took everyone by surprise in the very second minute with a spectacular long ranger.
UC Telaulim tried to bounce back but were unlucky in the sixth minute as striker Savio Fernandes’ shot hit the upright and off the rebound, Kingslee ballooned over.
However, minutes later the duo combined well as Kingslee set up Savio, who dribbled past a host of rival defenders to make it 1-1 in the 15th minute.
Post resumption, UC Telaulim took control of the proceedings and went on to score the match winner in the 50th minute through substitute Alvito Colaco, who received a pass from Savio and finished with a deft placement.
Panchawadi went all out in search of a goal in the dying minutes but their strikers lacked sharpness. Moreover, the rival defence stood rock solid.
