United Boys Dando, Colva beat Sporting Club of Davorlim 3-2 via the tie-breaker to move into the semi-finals of All-Goa Telaulim Panchayat Cup inter-village football tournament at Telaulim Panchayat ground on Thursday. The teams were goalless at the break.
In the 15th minute, Davorlim veteran Jose Colaco’s shot hit the crossbar. A few minutes later, Dando’s John Fernandes had a golden opportunity but he shot wide.
Changing ends, Davorlim came with brilliant ideas through Piedade and Melvin but their efforts bore no fruit.
In the tie-breaker, John, Dhilon and Franky netted for Dando while Agnel and Ashley shot in for Davorlim. Shots from Wilson, Melvin and Rosebud were saved by Dando goalkeeper Denzil Coutinho.
