Days after becoming the youngest cricketer to receive a Team India call-up, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has another reason to celebrate. His 10-year-old brother, Aashirwad Sooryavanshi, has grabbed attention by scoring his maiden century in a practice match, hinting that another cricketing talent may be emerging from the family.
Representing Cricket Academy Tajpur, Aashirwad produced a brilliant knock of 103 runs from just 87 balls. The youngster struck 20 boundaries and a six while maintaining an impressive strike rate of 118.39. By the time he reached his century, his side had already posted 234/4 in 29.5 overs. The innings quickly caught attention, with elder brother Vaibhav congratulating him on social media.

The achievement comes during a memorable phase for the Sooryavanshi family. Vaibhav recently created history by becoming the youngest player to earn a Team India call-up, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s long-standing record. The 15-year-old is currently representing India A in a tri-series featuring Sri Lanka A and Afghanistan A.
After a disappointing outing in the opening game, Vaibhav bounced back with a quickfire 44 off 22 balls against Afghanistan A. He is expected to join the senior Indian squad later this season for the tours of Ireland and England, where he could make his international debut.
Vaibhav’s rise has been remarkable. He finished IPL 2026 as the Orange Cap winner with 776 runs and broke Chris Gayle’s record for the most sixes in a single IPL season. He also starred in India’s U-19 World Cup triumph, scoring a century in the final. Now, with Aashirwad making headlines at just 10 years old, the Sooryavanshi story appears to be only beginning.
