RAIA: Verna SC defeated hosts Raia Sporting Club 3-1 to move into the quarter-finals of the 46th Custodio Memorial football tournament, organised by Raia Sporting and played at Raia Panchayat ground, on Friday.
Clive Coelho opened the account for Verna SC in the 28th minute while Remedious Vaz doubled the lead in the 40th mintue.
Savio Fernandes scored the third for Verna in the 65th minute.
Oilex Oliveira pulled a goal back for Raia in the 65th minute.
Verna SC will meet Parish Youth Nuvem in the quarter-finals on July 16.
