MARGAO: Wilred Leisure, Curtorim scored a solitary goal victory against Dicarpale Sports Club to move into the quarter-finals of late Bernardo Furtado memorial football tournament organized by Navelim Villagers Union, at Rosary ground, on Wednesday.
In the first half, Wilred Leisure were leading 1-0.
They dominated the proceedings and scored the all-important goal in the 18th minute off a well composed shot by Agnelo Martins after receiving a pass from Nelson.
Crossing over, Dicarpale Sports Club tried their best to equalize but the defence lines of Wilred Leisure were active and thwarted all the moves of the rival forwards to maintain their lead till the end of the match.
