PONDA: Wilred Leisure overcame Clube Sao Miguel de Taleigao 2-0 to enter the semi-finals of 25th All-Goa St Anne’s festival inter-village football at Animal Husbandry ground, Curti-Ponda.
Wilred Leisure scored one goal apiece in each half through Milagres Fernandes and Sertorio Monteiro.
Wilred Leisure surged ahead in the very second minute when Milagres Fernandes beat the off-side trap and netted past the rival goalkeeper. In the 64th minute, Sertorio Monteiro who had an excellent game, fired a power shot to make the issue safe for Wilred Leisure.
Sertorio Monteiro was adjudged man-of-the-match.
