When gamers discuss titles that have spent years in development, names like Grand Theft Auto VI often dominate the conversation. However, another highly anticipated title that has kept fans waiting is VALORANT Mobile. Nearly five years after its official announcement, players across the world are still asking Riot Games about the game’s global release timeline.Following the massive success of VALORANT on PC, Riot Games officially announced the mobile version on June 2, 2021. At the time, most fans expected the title to launch within two years. Instead, the developers remained largely silent, leading to growing frustration within the gaming community. The first major breakthrough came when Riot partnered with Lightspeed Studios, the studio behind PUBG Mobile.
The collaboration resulted in the game launching exclusively in China on August 19, 2025. Even before release, the title generated massive interest, reportedly crossing 70 million pre-registrations.The Chinese version impressed players with its polished gameplay and mobile-focused features. Rather than creating a basic port of the PC title, Riot introduced several exclusive systems including an improved ping feature, replay support, touch-friendly controls and 120 FPS gameplay on supported devices.Despite the successful Chinese launch, the global version remains unavailable. Reports suggest Riot may target a worldwide release during the second half of 2026, possibly around major esports events such as VALORANT Masters London or the Esports World Cup 2026. Meanwhile, several former Indian VALORANT professionals have already begun preparing for the mobile esports scene.
