The Mahaparinirvan Diwas is observed every year on December 6, to commemorate the death anniversary of Dr. B R Ambedkar, the Father of the Indian Constitution. This year Goa commemorates the 66th Mahaparinirvan day. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant stated that the government is working towards ensuring all the people especially the underprivileged are granted their rights with the schemes beneficial to them.
Speaking about the Ambedkar Bhavan, Sawant stated that people have been demanding the Bhavan for nearly 40 years. The process to acquire land has begun by the Social Welfare Department. the foundation stone will be laid by the end of December said Sawant.
