Margao MLA said that he had to organize his own private labourers since calls to the disaster management authority (DMA) were only answered with how they did not have labourers or equipment
He further pointed that during his tenure the electricity department would conduct a tree cutting and branch trimming exercise in the month of May for which the government had provided them such machinery and ironically, such tree cutting machinery was not available with the government presently.
He further stated that the government should have ensured that the DMA has all the facilities and resources to deal with such monsoon related problems or the residents would have to face the brunt of these issues till the monsoon concluded.
