Increased FAR to increase revenue: TTAG

PANJIM: The Travel and Tourism Association of Goa (TTAG) has said the increased floor area ratio (FAR) will boost small hotels earn more and eventually increase revenue to the State exchequer.

“The FAR was earlier allotted by former Chief Minister (late) Manohar Parrikar to the four and five star hotels. The FAR has now been increased from 20 to 30 percent and extended to three star and other hotels. This will help the small hotels to put up additional rooms or conference hall or restaurant or any facility because with changing time, they have to upgrade their hotels,” said TTAG President Nilesh Shah.
