Removal of garbage from Sal begins

MARGAO: The PWD and WRD have commenced the works of removal of waste accumulated below the Sal tributary at the Mandopa Bridge.

An excavator along with the labourers was pressed into service to remove the waste accumulated along the piers of the old Mandopa Bridge. The garbage and the tree branches have found its way into the stream and blocked the flow of water which resulted in erosion of soil.
