After the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, which killed 26 people, India has suspended all postal services with Pakistan. This includes a ban on all types of mail and parcels sent by air and land. The decision, made by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), is part of a wider set of actions by India to address national security concerns and respond to cross-border terrorism.
Along with halting postal exchanges, India has also placed restrictions on trade and transportation links with Pakistan, such as banning Pakistani-flagged ships from Indian ports and cancelling visas for Pakistani nationals. These actions show the growing diplomatic tensions between the two countries after the Pahalgam attack, with both sides taking steps that further strain their relationship.
