Disproportionate assets: ACB grills Kavlekar

PANJIM: Congress legislator and former IDC chief, Chandrakant Babu Kavlekar spent at least five-and-a-half hours at the Anti Corruption Bureau, answering queries in a disproportionate assets case.
His statement was recorded by PI Vincent Paes in detail.
“I have told them what they wanted to know. I will come again if they require me”, Babu told media.
ACB SP Bosco George said the case was under investigation and this time a statement of preliminary inquiry had been recorded. He also said that a team would be sent to Kerala to conduct further inquiries.
The Quepem MLA had been booked for alleged disproportionate wealth with the pointer being properties worth Rs 5.5 crore being purchased in Kerala.
