BICHOLIM: The Herald report against the neglected swimming pool under the Sanquelim municipal council (SMC) seems to have put the concerned authorities into action. Herald had highlighted the issue of swimming pool and had termed it as ‘White Elephant’ as it was having no facilities. Herald had focused all the problems faced by the people, in details.
The Sanquelim Municipal Council and the local MLA, Dr Pramod Sawant, have apparently taken up the issue pretty seriously and both claim trying their best to solve the problem.
Following the news, MLA, Dr Pramod Sawant swung into action and inspected the pool.
The SMC Chairman, Dharmesh Saglani, personally met the director of sports, Mr Prabhudesai and raised queries on the rundown swimming pool and even demanded immediate repairs of the pool.
