MARGAO: Goa rallied to overpower Haryana 4-1 in a Group D Mir Iqbal Hussain Trophy league match in National sub-junior football championship in Mumbai, Monday. The teams were tied 1-1 at half time.
Pradip struck early to put Haryana into the lead but Goa regrouped quickly and equalized through Liston Colaco.
In the second session, Goa started strongly with well orchestrated raids. Rolwin Almeida scored twice to register a brace and in the dying minute, Liston Colaco drove the last nail into the rival coffin with a neat finish.
Earlier, Goa lost to Chandigarh 2-1. Goa will meet Mizoram in a do-or-die battle on Wednesday.
