“They should be expelled suo motto. There should be a rule that if they walk to the well, then they should be expelled,” she said. The Speaker said that rather than the penalty measures imposed by the Speakers as per the law which results in their expulsion for few days from the House, the MPs or MLAs should know their duty of not disrupting the House.

Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan has suggested an amendment to the relevant law such that those MPs or MLAs who rush to the well of the House are expelled suo motto, without waiting for the verdict from the House.
